Electric Zoo took place this past weekend in New York City and let’s just say I think Harlem wasn’t ready for the crazy EDM kids that took over before and after the festival. I was lucky enough to attend the last day where so many of my favorite artists played including Knife Party, Skrillex and my babies in Krewella (check out my post on Krewella’s fashion HERE). As a fashionista living in Manhattan I was mostly horrified of what the girls and boys were wearing to the festival but at the same time I obviously get it. Neon, phrase t-shirts and tanks, light up accessories, head bands and body paint were all a must! A new outrageous trend I spotted were girls walking around with their best friend in a collar on a leash. Of course there were a handful of fashionable ladies that rocked typical festival fashions including maxi skirts with cropped tops, denim sleeveless button ups with boots and of course myself in all black surrounded by a crowd of neon. In honor of NYC Pride taking place this weekend, this post is all about the summer rainbow trend. The key to achieving a rainbow look is to not be literal. Don’t wear a shirt or a tote that has an image of a rainbow. Wear something that features the colors of the rainbow, but of course only one piece per look. Pair the rainbow piece with simple items to achieve this look without being over the top.
