This week’s JCxDJ song is “Bangarang” by Skrillex from the Bangarang EP. As we all know, dubstep sounds like an epic battle between Transformers, and let’s face it, the Jeffrey Campbell XXL is a Decepticon in shoe form. Self proclaimed friend of aliens and former front man of rock band From First To Last, Sonny Moore has become one of the biggest DJs in the world. He played more than 300 shows around the world last year, ranging from packed basement parties to seizure-inducing festival-headliner sets, and in turn became the face of today’s explosion of hard-charging American dance music. The Mothership Tour last year featuring Skrillex incorporated a 3D stage setup with graphic projections and a huge robot graphic behind him mimicking his every move. If Skrillex EVER changed his wardrobe and decided to return to his FFTL roots with makeup and girl jeans, I’m certain the JC XXL would be his shoe of choice.
